Anybus by HMS Networks AB7061-C is a gateway designed for serial communication, belonging to the Serial Communicators sub-range. This part functions as a serial communicator/gateway with a configurable RS-232/422/485 interface for produce/consume or query/response ASCII protocols. It supports up to 31 stations when using RS485/422 and offers a baud rate range of 1.2-57.6kbit/s. The AB7061-C is capable of executing various Modbus commands, including reading and writing coils and registers, among others, and provides DF1 services such as integrity checks and data read/write operations. It features reverse voltage protection, short circuit protection, and galvanic isolation on the sub-network. The Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) is greater than 550,000 hours at 30°C. Designed for installation at altitudes up to 2000m, it meets immunity and emission standards for industrial environments, including electrostatic discharge, electromagnetic RF fields, fast transients, surge protection, and RF conducted interference. The design includes Serial + EtherCAT interfaces, 6 LED indicators for various statuses, and is powered by a supply voltage of 21.6-26.4Vdc (24Vdc nominal). The dimensions are H120mm x W27mm x D75mm, with a plastic housing made of ABS/PC. Connection types include 2 x RJ45 connectors for 100Mbit/s EtherCAT (full duplex), 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for serial communication, 1 x 2-poles plug-in connector for power, and 1 x RJ11 PC connector. It offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and is suitable for DIN rail mounting. The AB7061-C operates in ambient air temperatures of 0 to +55 °C, with a current consumption of 300mA (max) and 100mA (typical), and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. Humidity tolerance is 0-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
