Ixxat by HMS Networks 1.01.0210.40000 is a CAN/CAN FD repeater designed to facilitate communication within automation systems. It features a Microchip MCP2562FD CAN/CAN FD transceiver and supports both ISO 11898-2 for CAN and ISO CAN FD as well as non-ISO CAN FD protocols. This repeater is capable of arbitration rates up to 1000kBit/s and data rates up to 8000kbit/s, with the flexibility for user-defined bit rates. The device's performance, including maximum data rate, may vary based on operating conditions such as cable length and settings. It offers a typical delay of 175ns, equivalent to a 35m bus length, and includes galvanic isolation of 1kVdc/s or 500Vac/min across all CAN channels and the power supply to ensure separate electrical circuits. The repeater is powered by a 9-36Vdc supply, with nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc, and features four channels with integrated 120Ω CAN bus termination resistors, available in variants with or without this integration. Connection is facilitated through four 4-pole plug-in screw connectors for CAN and one for power. The device also includes eight LED indicators for power and CAN transmission status, operates within a temperature range of -20 to +70°C, and is designed for DIN rail mounting in a plastic housing.
