BCF5-S18-RP4X/S90 Turck Capacitive Sensors

Turck BCF5-S18-RP4X/S90 is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-S18 series, designed for noise-immune embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a housing and sensing face made of glass fiber reinforced Polyamide (PA12-GF30) and a cable jacket of Polyurethane (PUR), ensuring durability. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cut and abrasion-resistant PUR cable, terminated with bare end flying leads for easy installation. The M18 partially threaded barrel shape allows for versatile mounting, and it offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for challenging environments. With a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and an ambient air temperature operational range of -25°C to +70°C, this sensor is adaptable to various applications. It features a single digital output (10-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 5mm. The sensor is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity, and operates in a Normally Closed (NC) mode, with an M18 thread size for installation.
