Turck BCF5-S18-AP4X is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-S18 series, designed for noise-immune embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30, a glass fiber reinforced Polyamide, and a PVC cable jacket. It comes pre-wired with a 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. The sensor's shape is an M18 partially threaded barrel, offering an IP67 degree of protection. It has a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25°C to +70°C. The sensor includes 1 x digital output (10-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.), with a no-load current consumption of 15mA and a sensing distance of 5mm. It is equipped with protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, and it operates in a Normally Open (NO) mode. The thread size for mounting is M18.
