Turck BC5-S18-Y1X-0.3-RSV4.21T is a sensor designed for proximity detection, specifically within the BC...-S18 series as an intrinsically-safe capacitive proximity sensor/switch. This model is ATEX compliant and embeddable, operating with a supply voltage of 8.2Vdc. It features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30, a glass fiber reinforced Polyamide, ensuring durability. The sensor is equipped with a pre-wired 30cm / 12" pigtail cable that terminates with a 2-pin M12 Eurofast QD stainless steel coupling nut male connector, facilitating easy and secure connections. Its M18 partially threaded barrel shape allows for straightforward installation. With an IP65 degree of protection, it is safeguarded against dust ingress and low-pressure water jets from any direction. The sensor offers 1 x digital output (8.2Vdc; NAMUR) and has a sensing distance of 5mm, with a thread size of M18, making it suitable for a variety of proximity sensing applications.
