Product description
Pilz PILZ-773310 is a Safety I/O unit designed as a digital input safety expansion module that supports short-term condensation during operation. It is suitable for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. The unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +60°C and has a coated design for added durability. It features screw terminal connections and spring-loaded terminal connections, requiring a 7mm stripping length for screw connections and a 9mm stripping length for spring-loaded connections. As part of the Safe I/O module sub-range, it offers an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The bottom housing is made of PPO, and the front housing is ABS, supporting a maximum cable length of 1000m per input. The unit's dimensions are 94mm in height, 22.5mm in width, and 121mm in depth, with a cross-section range for connections from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 / 24AWG to 16AWG for various configurations. It consumes 2.5W of power from the supply via the base module and can be stored within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +70°C. The response time specifications include a minimum pulse duration of 18ms, with a simultaneity channel 1 and 2 max of 3s and a 2-hand circuit of 0.5s. It features 8 x digital inputs (24Vdc; EN 61131-2 Type 1), with a time delay of up to 4ms for input delay, 5s for switch-on delay, and 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization. The processing time for pulse suppression is 0.6 ms, and the rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 30 V.
