Pilz PILZ-6D000017 is a safety laser scanner designed for monitoring up to three safety zones simultaneously, with the capability to manage 70 zone configurations and sets that can be switched. It supports a maximum of 16 multiple evaluations and can detect a remission area ranging from 1.8 to 1000%. The device features a pulse duration of 3ns and a typical output power of 8mW for the laser. Up to four safety laser scanners can be connected in series, including one master and three peripherals. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +50°C and has a net height of 152 mm. The design is a control master unit with a light spot diameter of 8mm on the front plate. Connection options include 8-pin or 17-pin M12 male connectors and a 4-pin M12 connector for 100Mbit/s Ethernet. The degree of protection is IP65, and it requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with 24Vdc nominal. The housing is made of aluminium, with a PC top housing and a PMMA front screen. Its net width is 102 mm, and it uses Ethernet as the communication protocol. The sensing distance ranges from 0.05 to 5.5m for the safety zone at 70mm, and from 0.05 to 40m for the warning zone at 70mm, among other specified distances. The distance from the scanning plane to the top edge is 37.7mm, and from the mirror rotational axis to the rear is 52.5mm, with a net depth of 112.5 mm. The wavelength of the laser is 905 nm, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. It features 6 x digital outputs (OSSD semiconductor; 17.2Vdc; 250mA), 2 x digital outputs (configurable inputs/auxiliary outputs), and 12 x digital inputs (configurable; 24Vdc; 2mA). The response time is 62ms, with a rotation time of 30ms and a processing time of 300µs. The resolution capabilities range from 30mm to 150mm, with an angle resolution of 0.1°. The device has a time delay of 40s for switch-on, a capacitive load of 2.2 µF, and a maximum inductive load per output of 2H. The scan area angle is 275°, with a maximum opening angle of 0.12°, and it can operate in humidity levels up to 95%.
