Pilz PILZ-632248 is a safety light curtain designed for finger protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 14mm. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C and offers a protective height of 1200mm. This robust type emitter part only features a 5-pin M12 connector for both emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3F sub-range. With dimensions of 1204mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth, it is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. The device operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has a maximum power consumption of 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It supports a sensing distance from 0.2m to 8m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. The light curtain can accommodate up to 50m of cable length and features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs. It has a response time of 14.8ms with beam coding and a resolution of 14mm for finger protection. The device is also designed to withstand storage temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
