Pilz PILZ-632229 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm. This robust type emitter part operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +60°C and offers a protective height of 1650mm. It features a 5-pin M12 connector for both the emitter and receiver, falling under the PSEN opII3H sub-range. With dimensions of 1654mm in height, 35mm in width, and 40mm in depth, this unit is encased in an aluminium housing with zinc end caps and a PC front screen, ensuring a degree of protection rated at IP65. It operates on a supply voltage of 18-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and supports a maximum cable length of 50m. The sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 18m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 850 nm. Power consumption is maxed at 1.5W for the emitter and 2.5W for the receiver without load. It also features two digital outputs (100mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and has a response time of 11.6ms with beam coding and 22.3ms without. The device is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range for storage of -25 to +70°C.
