PILZ-631008 Pilz Safety Light Curtains

Pilz PILZ-631008 is a safety light curtain designed for industrial applications requiring precise finger protection and object detection. This unit features a variety of functions including test, manual/automatic restart, EDM (External Device Monitoring), reset, muting, blanking, GUI (Graphical User Interface) coding, PNP/NPN connection, and cascading capabilities. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 1656.3 mm. The design incorporates muting, blanking, and cascading options with no dead zone for finger protection, capable of detecting 14mm opaque objects across an emitter and receiver pair. It supports a rated current range from 20mA to 300mA for external lamps and offers connection types via a 5-pin M12 connector for the emitter and 12-pin M12 connectors for the receiver in both blanking and muting models. Classified under the Advanced sub-range, it has a protective height of 1650mm and is rated IP65 for protection against dust and water ingress. The supply voltage requirement is 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. Constructed with a vanished aluminium housing, PBT terminal cap, PMMA front screen, and PC cover, it features a yellow housing color. The maximum cable length is 50m, with net dimensions of 35mm in width and 40.8mm in depth. Its sensing distance ranges from 0.2m to 7m, utilizing infrared LED light with a wavelength of 950 nm. Power consumption is max 3 W for the emitter and max 5 W for the receiver without load. It includes 176 beams with a 14mm beam gap, two digital outputs (NPN or PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs, a response time of 31ms, and a resolution of 14mm for finger protection. The device is also designed to withstand storage temperatures between -25 and +70°C.
