Pilz PILZ-630724 is a safety light curtain designed for hand protection, capable of detecting opaque objects as small as 30mm across an operating range of 0.2m to 19m. This unit, part of the Basic sub-range, features a net height of 983.2 mm and a protective height of 900mm, with a net width of 32.3 mm and a net depth of 36.9 mm. It operates with a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and has a power consumption of up to 2W for the emitter and 3W for the receiver without load. The design includes a 4-pin M12 connector for the emitter and a 5-pin M12 connector for the receiver, supporting a maximum cable length of 50m. The housing is made of painted aluminium with a PC cap and a PMMA front screen, colored yellow, and offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. The light curtain emits infrared LED light at a wavelength of 950 nm, with 48 beams and a 30mm beam gap, ensuring a resolution suitable for hand protection. It features two digital outputs (PNP; 500mA) for the receiver OSSD outputs and has a response time of 15ms. The device can operate within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55 °C and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 °C.
