Pilz PILZ-328303 is an I/O unit designed for backplane or rackmount installation, featuring digital I/O electronic module capabilities. It supports a range of functions including 8 digital inputs and 4 digital outputs, with inputs accepting 24Vdc at 3-3.5mA and outputs supplying 24Vdc at 0.25A. The unit ensures potential isolation between input and module supply as well as between periphery and module supply, both with functional insulation and a rated surge voltage of 2500V. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and can be stored between -40 to +70°C. The device, with a net height of 110.8 mm, width of 12.5 mm, and depth of 72.5 mm, is housed in PPE material and offers an IP20 degree of protection. Connection is facilitated through plug-in/detachable cage-clamp terminal connections. The module's supply voltage ranges from 16.8 to 30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc. Power consumption varies, with a maximum of 0.26 W for module supply, 0.11 W for an input, 0.22 W with no load, and 0.13 W for voltage output. Power dissipation/losses can reach up to 1.9 W. Processing times for input signals range from 0.005 to 0.3 ms, with a software filter time of 0 to 25.5 ms. The design includes device code 000Bh with 8 ST input bits plus 4 ST status bits, and it features short-circuit proof protection and potential isolation.
