Anybus by HMS Networks AB7836-F is a gateway within the X-gateway series designed to serve as a protocol translator between different industrial networks. It features an EtherNet/IP adapter and an Interbus CU slave, facilitating communication between Ethernet/IP and INTERBUS protocols. The device allows for vertical or flat installation and includes galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides to prevent electrical interference. Configuration of I/O is managed via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The AB7836-F is equipped with 8 IP configuration switches, 10 LED indicators for monitoring fieldbus, sub-network, and device status, and a baud rate jumper for speed adjustments. It operates on a supply voltage of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The AB7836-F offers an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection, is mounted on a DIN rail, and supports communication speeds of 10/100Mbit/s for Ethernet and 500kbit/s to 2Mbit/s for INTERBUS. It operates efficiently within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C, with a current consumption of 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical), and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The device is designed to withstand 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing), ensuring reliable operation in a variety of environmental conditions.
