S18AW3RQ Description
Banner Engineering S18AW3RQ is a photo-electric sensor designed as part of the S18 AC series, featuring a through-beam system or opposed mode operation. This sensor comprises an emitter and receiver pair housed in a thermoplastic body with a polycarbonate lens. It is pre-equipped with a 5-pin 1/2" micro connector for connectivity. The sensor operates on a supply voltage ranging from 20Vac to 250Vac, with nominal values at 200Vac, 220Vac, and 240Vac. It is designed to function within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C. The S18AW3RQ offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, IP69K, and NEMA 6P, ensuring durability in various environmental conditions. Its M18 cylindrical threaded/barrel shape facilitates easy installation. The sensor features a single digital output (Solid-state AC output; SPST contact type), a sensing distance of up to 20 meters, and operates with infrared light at a wavelength of 950 nm.
