LX21E Description
Banner Engineering LX21E is a standard-range part-sensing light screen cross-hatched array sensor, designed primarily as an emitter alone. It features a 523mm array length housed in aluminum with an acrylic lens and die-cast zinc end caps. This sensor is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads, facilitating easy installation. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal values at 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The LX21E has a net height of 571mm, a width of 26mm, and a depth of 32mm, making it a rectangular-shaped device. It is built to function within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +70°C and offers a sensing distance from 30cm to 2m. The sensor can detect objects as small as 9.5mm and is protected to a degree of IP65, indicating a high level of protection against dust and water ingress.
