About the product
Banner Engineering LX18R is a standard-range part-sensing light screen cross-hatched array designed for detecting objects within a sensing distance of 30cm to 2m. This sensor features a rectangular shape with dimensions of 447mm in array length, a net height of 495mm, a net width of 26mm, and a net depth of 32mm. It is constructed with an aluminium housing, acrylic lens, and die-cast zinc end caps. The LX18R is pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable terminated with bare end flying leads for connectivity and operates on a supply voltage of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It offers a single digital output (PNP/NPN transistor), operates in both Light-ON and Dark-ON modes, and has a response time of 4.8ms. The sensor can detect objects as small as 9.5mm and is designed to operate in ambient air temperatures ranging from -20 to +70°C. It is protected to a degree of IP65, ensuring its operation in various environmental conditions.
