Banner Engineering BT216SM8 is a fiber sensor belonging to the Glass fiber series, designed with a diffuse-reflective system. The sensing end is made of stainless steel, while the fiber itself is glass, encased in stainless flexible tubing for protection. The sensor has a cylindrical (threaded) end tip with a diameter of 1.25mm at the end and a 3.2mm fiber core. It measures 16ft / 4.8m in length. This sensor is capable of operating in ambient air temperatures up to +249°C.
