BI20-CP40-VN4X2/S10 Turck Inductive Sensors

Turck BI20-CP40-VN4X2/S10 is an inductive proximity sensor belonging to the BI...-CP40 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor features a housing and sensing face made from glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT-GF30-V0), ensuring durability. It comes pre-equipped with a wiring chamber terminal block and a 1/2"-14 NPT entry for connections. The sensor's rectangular body measures 40mm in height and width, fitting the Combiprox shape category, and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. It can operate at a maximum switching frequency of 150Hz and has a response time of 8ms. The BI20-CP40-VN4X2/S10 provides one digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and consumes 15mA of no-load current. It is capable of sensing objects up to 20mm away and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA / 0.2 A, and the sensor supports both Normally Open (NO) and Normally Closed (NC) complementary outputs. It is designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C.
