BCE5-S18-AP6X Description

Turck BCE5-S18-AP6X is a capacitive proximity sensor/switch that belongs to the BC...-S18 series. This embeddable design sensor operates with a supply voltage of 10-30Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. It features a housing and sensing face made of PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) and a PVC cable jacket. The sensor is connected via a pre-wired 2m / 6.5ft cable terminated with bare end flying leads. It has an M18 partially threaded barrel shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP65. The maximum switching frequency is 50Hz, and it can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10°C to +60°C. The BCE5-S18-AP6X provides 1 x digital output (10-30Vdc; PNP; 100mA max.) and has a sensing distance of 5mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The thread size is M18, and the operating mode is NO (Normally Open).
