Pilz PILZ-773711 is a communications unit designed for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail. This expansion and communication module features an EtherCAT fieldbus interface, enabling it to serve as a peripheral device with capabilities for logging CANopen over EtherCAT. It is equipped with a test voltage of 500Vac for the EtherCAT fieldbus interface. The unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and has a net height of 94 mm. It is designed for connection to a base unit and utilizes an RJ45 connector for its connection type. As part of the Communication module sub-range, it measures 27mm in width, offers an IP20 degree of protection, and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The housing is made of PPO for the bottom and ABS for the front, ensuring compatibility with the rated voltage of 500Vac (EtherCAT test voltage). The unit's width is 22.5 mm, and it supports the EtherCAT communication protocol with a power consumption of 1.6 W (from supply via base unit). The depth is 114 mm, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. It features galvanic isolation for protection, with a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 30 V, a transmission rate speed of 100MBit/s for EtherCAT, and a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization.
