Pilz PILZ-772138 is a communications unit designed for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail. It functions as a communication module with Ethernet/IP fieldbus interfaces, serving as an adapter with galvanic isolation for potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 500V. The unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it. It has a net height of 101.4 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 110.4 mm, encased in a green PC housing. The unit requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc and an additional 3.3Vdc for module supply via the base unit. It features two RJ45 connectors for interface connections, accommodating screw or spring-loaded terminal connections with a cross-section range for wiring. The communication protocol supported is Ethernet/IP, with a transmission rate of 10MBit/s or 100MBit/s. The unit's power consumption is 1.2 W from an external power supply and 0.2 W from the supply via the base unit, with a maximum power dissipation/loss of 1.5 W. It is designed with a degree of protection of IP20 and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C.
