Pilz PILZ-772036 is a safety controller that functions as a configurable safety base unit or safe small controller. It supports various loads including inductive, capacitive, and resistive with potential isolation between SC output and system voltage featuring basic insulation and a rated insulation voltage of 30V, as well as a rated surge voltage of 2500V. Designed for DIN rail mounting, it accommodates rails of 35mmx7.5mm (top hat) and 27mm (recess width). The unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C. It has a net height of 101.4 mm and is expandable (device code 0060h). The rated current specifications include 1.6A for maximum external system supply continuous current, 3A for external supply inrush current, and 8A for maximum external output supply continuous current, with input and output current ranges specified. Connection types include plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminals. The base unit has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc. It is housed in PC material, supports up to 1000m cable length per input and 2000m overall cable for test pulse output, and measures 45 mm in width. The cross-section compatibility ranges for wiring, and it has a power consumption of 0.8 W with a net depth of 120 mm. Suitable for storage in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C, it features 8 digital outputs for configurable auxiliary outputs, 4 for test pulse outputs, and 4 for 1-pole positive-switching semiconductor outputs. It includes protection functions against short-circuit and potential isolation, with a response time of 0.5 s for simultaneity in the 2-hand circuit. The unit also offers 8 digital inputs for configurable inputs and 12 for standard inputs, with a current consumption of 32mA from the supply. Time delays for input pulse suppression, maximum input delay, and switch-off semiconductor output delay are specified, alongside power dissipation/losses, processing times, and a voltage drop for the semiconductor output.
