Pilz PILZ-772031 is a communications unit designed as an expansion/communication module with a PROFIBUS-DP fieldbus interface. It functions as a peripheral DPV0 device type with a station address range of 0-99d and features potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 500V. This unit is suitable for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C. It has a net height of 100 mm and utilizes a 9-pin D-sub female connector plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminal connections, supporting 2 points per spring-loaded connection with a 9mm stripping length. Classified under the sub-range name of Communication module, it measures 27mm in width, has an IP20 degree of protection, and requires a supply voltage of 19.2-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal). The housing is made from PC material, and the unit's width is 22.5 mm. The power consumption of the module supply is 1.5 W, with a net depth of 115 mm. It can be stored in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. The unit includes protection functions such as galvanic isolation and potential isolation, with a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 30 V. It supports a speed range of 9.6kBit/s to 12MBit/s for transmission rates over PROFIBUS/DP and has a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization.
