Pilz PILZ-772010 is a communications unit designed as an expansion/communication module with Ethernet POWERLINK V2 fieldbus interface, functioning as a controlled node. It features potential isolation between the fieldbus and module voltage with functional insulation and a rated surge voltage of 500V. This unit is suitable for DIN rail mounting, specifically on a 35mmx7.5mm horizontal rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it. The unit has a net height of 100 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 110.4 mm, and it connects via an RJ45 connector plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminals, supporting 2 points per spring-loaded connection with a 9mm stripping length. It belongs to the communication module sub-range, encased in a PC housing, and offers an IP20 degree of protection. The supply voltage ranges from 19.2 to 30Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and an additional 3.23-3.37Vdc (3.3Vdc nominal) for module supply via the base unit. The unit's power dissipation/losses are a maximum of 1.5W, operates with a speed of 100MBit/s for Ethernet POWERLINK V2, and has a current consumption of 60mA from the supply via the base module. It features a time delay of 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization and is designed for storage in ambient air temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. The unit includes protection functions such as galvanic isolation and potential isolation, with a rated insulation voltage (Ui) of 30 V.
