Pilz PILZ-540137 is a communications unit designed for PROFIBUS networks, supporting the DP-V0 protocol. It functions as a peripheral device with a station address range of 1-125d and features galvanic isolation for potential separation between PROFIBUS and system voltage, ensuring functional insulation with a rated surge voltage of 2500V. This unit is designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with a 35mmx7.5mm rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C. It measures 45mm in width, 115mm in height, and 95mm in depth, with a degree of protection rated at IP20. Connection is facilitated through a 9-pin D-Sub male connector, with options for plug-in/detachable screw or spring-loaded terminal connections. The housing is made from PC material, and it supports a supply voltage of 24Vdc. The communication protocol used is PROFIBUS, with a cross-section range for wiring of 0.25 to 2.5mm2 / 24AWG to 12AWG (1-core flexible; screw connection). Power consumption is rated at 2W.
