Panasonic EX-L262-P is a photo-electric sensor made from PBT for the case and glass for the lens, designed to operate within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It consumes 15mA / 0.015 A of current and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The sensor features a detection spot size of 5mm x 1mm and can detect objects as small as 0.01mm using red light. It includes an orange LED to indicate operation and a green LED for stability, with a response time of 500µs / 0.0005 s. This model provides 1 x digital output (PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA) and supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes. The sensing distance ranges from 2cm to 7cm (20-70mm). It is equipped with protection functions including outputs short-circuit protection and inverse polarity protection. The sensor is an ultra-compact laser (Class 1) with a built-in amplifier and continuously variable sensitivity adjustment. It connects via a pre-wired 2m 4-core 0.15mm2 cabtyre cable with bare end flying leads. The cable has 4 cores for the receiver and 2 cores for the emitter. The total length of the cable is 2m, and the wavelength of the laser is 655 nm.
