About the product

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7800-F is a gateway designed for protocol translation within the X-gateway series. It functions as a PROFIBUS master and an EtherNet/IP adapter, facilitating communication between these two protocols. The device supports vertical or flat installation and features galvanic isolation on both the BUS and Ethernet sides to prevent electrical interference. Configuration of I/O is managed via a USB port using the Anybus Configuration Manager software. The AB7800-F is equipped with 8 IP configuration switches and 10 LED indicators for comprehensive status monitoring of the fieldbus, sub-network, and device. It operates on a supply voltage range of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc. The dimensions of the gateway are H127mm x W44mm x D114mm, and it is constructed from an aluminium/plastic housing for durability. Connection interfaces include 2 RJ45 LAN connectors for 10/100Mbit/s Ethernet/IP communication, 1 9-pin D-sub female connector and 1 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS connectivity, 1 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 USB connector for configuration. The AB7800-F offers an IP20 NEMA 1 degree of protection and is designed for DIN rail mounting. It supports communication protocols of Ethernet/IP and PROFIBUS, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C for operation and -40 to +85 °C for storage. The current consumption is 400mA at maximum and 200mA typically. The gateway can handle speeds up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS and 10/100Mbit/s for Ethernet, and is designed to operate in environments with 5-95% relative humidity (non-condensing).
