Q146EQ Banner Optical Sensors

Banner Engineering Q146EQ is a photo-electric sensor designed for through-beam system applications, functioning as an emitter alone within the Q14 series. This sensor operates within an ambient air temperature range of -20 to +55°C and features a pre-wired 6-inch (150mm) pigtail terminated with a 3-pin Pico-style M8 connector for connectivity. It has a rectangular shape with dimensions of 30mm in height, 8mm in width, and 14mm in depth, and is constructed from a thermoplastic housing with a glass lens. The Q146EQ offers a sensing distance of up to 1.8m and utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 880 nm. It is equipped with a response time of 8ms (0.008 s) and operates on a supply voltage range of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with nominal voltages of 12Vdc and 24Vdc. The sensor's degree of protection is rated at IP54 NEMA 4, ensuring a level of protection against dust and water splashes. The housing is black, aligning with the standard color coding for this type of sensor.
