RU40U-M18MS-UN8X2-H1151 Description

Turck RU40U-M18MS-UN8X2-H1151 is an ultrasonic sensor from the RU40U series, designed with a 9° sonic cone for diffuse mode side sensing. This sensor features ultrasonic sensor TEACH-by-wire functionality and is constructed with a chrome-plated brass housing and a sensing face made of PET (Polyethylene terephthalate), PU (Polyurethane), and Epoxy. It comes pre-equipped with a 5-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity. The sensor operates on a supply voltage of 15-30Vdc, with a nominal voltage of 24Vdc, and can function within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It boasts an IP67 degree of protection, indicating its dust tightness and immersion resistance. The shape of the sensor is an M18 partially threaded medium length cylindrical/barrel, and it features one digital output (15-30Vdc; NPN; 150mA max.). The sensing distance ranges from 25-400mm, with a no-load current consumption of 50mA. It has a maximum switching frequency of 10.4Hz, and includes protection functions against short-circuit (pulsed) and reverse polarity. The operating mode can be programmed as NO (Normally Open) or NC (Normally Closed).
