RI-43H38S-4B2048-H1181 Description

Turck RI-43H38S-4B2048-H1181 is an incremental rotary encoder designed for face mount flange mounting with a large-bore through hollow shaft and optical sensing. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +80°C and is pre-equipped with a radial 8-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector. This part of the Type RI-43 series measures H140mm x W135mm x D174mm with a 100mm casing diameter and offers a degree of protection of IP65. It requires a supply voltage of 5Vdc-30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc, and can handle a pulse frequency up to 300kHz. The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, with a stainless steel shaft and an aluminium flange, and uses the RS-422 communication protocol. The 38mm hollow shaft bore and a single digital output (RS422 pulse output; TTL compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc) enhance its functionality. It includes protection against short-circuit, supports a rotational speed up to 6000rpm, has a moment of inertia less than 220x10^-6kg.m^2, and offers a resolution of 2048ppr (pulses/revolution). The current consumption is 40mA with no load.
