Turck BC5-S18-AP4X-H1141/S250 is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-S18 series, designed for embeddable applications. It operates with a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor is constructed with a PA12-GF30 (glass fiber reinforced Polyamide) housing and sensing face, ensuring durability. It features a pre-equipped 4-pin M12 Eurofast QD male connector for connectivity and is shaped as an M18 partially threaded barrel. This sensor offers an IP67 degree of protection against ingress, and it can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It has a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and includes one digital output (10-65Vdc; PNP; 200mA max.) with a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is specified at 5mm. Protection functions include short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity safeguards. The control circuit is rated at 200mA / 0.2 A, and the operating mode is NO (Normally Open).
