Schneider Electric 140DAO84210C is an I/O unit designed as an AC digital output module. It features a connection type of a 40-pin screw terminal block, which is sold separately, and is specifically designed for severe environments with a conformal coating for added protection. This module operates with a supply voltage range of 83-253Vac (100-230Vac nominal) and can withstand ambient air temperatures for operation and storage from -40 to +85°C and -40 to +185°F, respectively. It offers a degree of protection suitable for harsh environments, with an internal control voltage (AC) managed by an RC filter and output protection by a 5A fuse. The unit is designed for backplane or rack mounting within Modicon Quantum I/O modules systems and supports 16 x digital outputs with electrical characteristics of 85-132Vac at 4A or 170-253Vac at 3A. The protected poles are compatible with BMXDAO1605H standards, and the module's analog outputs are enhanced for resistance against harsh conditions, thanks to a conformal coating on the PCB with Humiseal 1A33. Its thermal resistance is calculated as (1.1 x total module load current) + 1.85 W, and it operates efficiently within an earthing system when programmed with Unity Pro software, supporting multiple languages including Function Block Language (FBD), Ladder Diagram (LD), Sequential Function Chart (SFC), Instruction List (IL), and Structured Text (ST). The coating material ensures up to 95% resistance against condensation.
