Pilz PILZ-773800 is a Safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and has a net height of 94 mm. This unit is specifically designed for incremental encoders, supporting sin/cos, HTL, and TTL signals, and offers various connection types including screw terminals, spring-loaded terminals for proximity switches, and an 8-pin RJ45 female connector for incremental encoders. The stripping length for screw connections is 7mm, and for spring-loaded connections, it is 9mm. As part of the Safe I/O module sub-range, it has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). Its frequency input range varies from 0-3kHz for proximity switches to 0-500kHz for incremental encoders. The unit is constructed from PPO for the bottom housing and ABS for the front housing, with a net width of 45 mm and depth of 121 mm. It uses the RS-422 communication protocol and supports wire cross-sections ranging from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 for screw terminals and 0.25 to 0.75mm2 for spring-loaded terminals. Power consumption is 1W, sourced from the supply via the base module. It can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. Protection functions include galvanic isolation and overload proof (-30 to +30V). The rated insulation voltage is 30 V. It features 4 digital inputs for proximity switches and 2 digital inputs for incremental encoders, with a time delay configurable up to 20ms depending on the frequency, and an angle phase position for differential signals between 60° and 120°.
