Pilz PILZ-773405 is a safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with it. This unit features a net height of 94 mm, a width of 22.5 mm, and a depth of 121 mm. It supports a rated current of 0.5mA for residual current at a "0" signal and 2A at a "1" signal level with Ub-0.5Vdc. Connection types include screw terminal connections and spring-loaded terminal connections, accommodating wire cross-sections from 0.25 to 1.5mm2 for 1-core flexible wires with screw terminals, and similarly for spring-loaded terminals, with specified stripping lengths. The unit is classified under the Safe I/O module sub-range, with an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). Constructed from PPO for the bottom housing and ABS for the front housing, it features four digital outputs with 1-pole positive-switching semiconductor output, capable of handling 24Vdc at 2A. It includes protection functions such as short-circuit proofing and potential isolation, with a rated insulation voltage of 30 V. The unit exhibits a time delay of 30ms for switch-off, 5s for switch-on, and 20ms for supply interruption before de-energization, with a processing time of a maximum of 0.3 ms during self-test. Power consumption is rated at 192 W from an external power supply and 2.5 W from supply via the base module.
