Panasonic LS-501 is an amplifier designed for sensor applications, specifically to enhance the functionality of laser sensors. It is compliant with FDA regulations, ensuring its suitability for a wide range of environments. The device features a variety of functions including an interference prevention function, OFF-delay/ON-delay timer ranging from 0.5ms to 32s, a one-shot timer for sensitivity settings, and multiple teaching modes such as 2-point teaching, limit teaching, full auto teaching, and manual adjustment. It supports AND/OR/XOR logical operations between output1 and the calculation target. The LS-501 is constructed from polycarbonate for both the case cover and housing, ensuring durability. It comes pre-equipped with a connector for easy installation. The device offers protection against outputs short-circuiting and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55 °C. With an IP40 degree of protection, it is safeguarded against solid objects larger than 1mm. The operating modes include Light-ON and Dark-ON, catering to various application needs. The current consumption is 50mA (0.05 A) under normal conditions and 40mA (0.04 A) in Eco mode, both at 24Vdc. It features 2 digital outputs (NPN open-collector / 24Vdc / 50mA) and offers a range of response times from 60µs to 24ms, depending on the selected mode. Visual indicators include an orange LED for operation, a green LED for light emission, and a yellow LED for output selection. The display is comprised of a 4-digit red LED and a 4-digit green LED, providing clear and immediate feedback. The time delay function can be set between 0.5ms and 32s, and the power consumption is 1.2 W under normal conditions and 0.98 W in Eco mode.
