Panasonic GX-8MLU is an M8 threaded inductive proximity sensor designed for detecting the presence of metallic objects within a 0mm to 1.6mm sensing distance. This sensor features a cylindrical (threaded) barrel shape with a housing made of stainless steel (SUS303) and a sensing part constructed from nylon. It comes pre-wired with a 2m 2-core 0.15mm2 cabtyre cable that is resistant to heat, cold, and oil, and terminates with bare flying leads for easy installation. The GX-8MLU operates in a normally open (NO) mode and includes one digital output (Non-Contact DC 2-wire output / 70mA) capable of detecting standard sensing objects, specifically an iron sheet measuring 20x20x1mm. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, ensuring its operation in environments with temperatures ranging from -25 to +70 degrees Celsius, and is equipped with an oil-resistant cable to withstand harsh chemical exposures.
