Banner Engineering Q106E is a photo-electric sensor designed for precise detection with an emitter alone configuration. It operates within a sensing distance of 1.8m and utilizes an infrared light source with a wavelength of 880 nm. This sensor is suitable for flat or stand-off mounting and is housed in a durable thermoplastic casing with a glass lens. It is designed to work within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +70°C. The Q106E features a through-beam system, also known as opposed mode, ensuring accurate detection. It comes pre-wired with a 6.5ft / 2m cable that terminates with bare end flying leads for easy installation. This model is part of the Q10 series and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67 NEMA 6P, making it resistant to dust and water ingress. It requires a supply voltage of 10Vdc to 30Vdc, with 12Vdc and 24Vdc as nominal values. The response time of the sensor is 8ms / 0.008 s, allowing for quick detection of objects.
