About the product
Banner Engineering EA5R900NIXMODQ is a sensor designed for edge detection, belonging to the EZ-ARRAY series, with a focus on measuring light curtain array edge/profile sensing as a receiver alone. This sensor is equipped with two analog outputs (4-20mA) and two digital outputs (NPN transistor; complementary NO/NC), ensuring versatile connectivity options. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP65 and has dimensions with a 900mm array length. The EA5R900NIXMODQ can detect objects sized between 5-10mm, with a resolution of 5mm and a sensing distance ranging from 40cm to 4m. It is pre-equipped with an 8-pin Euro-style M12 connector for easy installation and operates on a supply voltage of 12Vdc-30Vdc (24Vdc nom.). Additionally, it supports the Modbus RTU RS-485 communication protocol and is designed with 180 beams at a 5mm beam spacing/pitch for precise detection capabilities.
