770-103 Description
WAGO 770-103 is a connector with a nominal voltage of 250V as per IEC/EN 60664-1, a rated impulse voltage of 4kV, and a rated current of 25A. It is designed for overvoltage category III and pollution degree 3 environments. For the US market, it can also be used for current interruption in specific applications below 16A and up to 600V according to UL 1977, with a rated voltage of 600V and a rated current of 23A under UL 1977. The connector features approximately 1mΩ of contact resistance and 0.25mΩ contact transition for plug/socket. It has 6 connection points, 3 total number of potentials, and 3 test slots. The push-in CAGE CLAMP connection technology requires an operating tool or push-in actuation, supporting a nominal cross-section of 4mm2 / 12 AWG. It accommodates a wide range of conductor sizes and types, including solid, stranded, and fine-stranded conductors, with specific capacities for push-in termination. The strip length for connection is 9mm / 0.35", and it has a 3 pole number with a connectable sheathed cable diameter of 8...11.5mm. The physical dimensions include a pin spacing of 10mm / 0.394", a width of 34.6mm / 1.362", a height of 15mm / 0.591", and a depth of 76mm / 2.992". It is suitable for general mains applications, features variable coding, and is marked L PE N for potential marking. The mating force of a plug-in connection ranges from approximately 20...70N, with a retention force of over 80N and an unmating force of approximately 20...70N. It supports up to 200 mating cycles without resistive load and offers IP2XC protection when mated and secured with a strain relief housing. The female connector/socket is designed to prevent mismating and includes a locking lever for secure connection. The connector is made from Polyamide (PA66) with a flammability class of V0 and features chrome-nickel spring steel for the clamping spring and tin-plated copper or copper alloy contacts. It weighs 20g and operates within a temperature range of -5...+40°C for processing and -35...+85°C for continuous operation. The product is RoHS compliant, packaged in boxes of 25 pieces, and has a GTIN of 4044918252096.
