Turck RI-10T6S-2K100-C1M is a compact incremental rotary encoder designed for 58mm motor flange mounting. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -40 to +85°C and features a solid shaft motor flange with optical sensing. This encoder is pre-wired with a radial 1m / 3ft cord with bare end flying leads, belonging to the Type RI-10 series. It has dimensions including a 2" casing diameter, a 6mm shaft diameter, and a 10mm shaft length. The encoder is protected to IP65 standards and requires a supply voltage of 5Vdc-30Vdc, supporting 6Vdc, 12Vdc, and 24Vdc. It can handle a pulse frequency up to 300kHz. The encoder is constructed from die-cast metal housing, a stainless steel shaft, butyl rubber shaft seal, stainless steel disc table, and stainless steel packing ring. It features 1 x digital output (push-pull; 7272 compatible; 5Vdc-30Vdc) and includes protection functions against short-circuit, bearing lock, magnetic fields, and reverse polarity. The maximum rotational speed is 12000rpm, with a moment of inertia of 1.8 x 10-6kg.m2 and a resolution of 100ppr (pulses/revolution). Its current consumption is 50mA with no load, and it can withstand a maximum radial load of 80 N and a maximum axial load of 40 N.
