Turck BC20-Q20-AN4X2/S400 is a capacitive proximity sensor belonging to the BC...-Q20 series, featuring a Qpak housing with top-sensing capabilities designed for embeddable applications. It operates on a supply voltage range of 10-65Vdc, including nominal values of 12Vdc, 24Vdc, and 48Vdc. The sensor and its sensing face are constructed from glass fiber reinforced Polybutylene Terephthalate (PBT-GF30-V0), and it comes with a PVC cable jacket. This model is equipped with a pre-wired 2m (approximately 6.5ft) cable terminating in bare end flying leads for connection. It has a 20mm thick rectangular body shape and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various industrial environments. The sensor supports a maximum switching frequency of 100Hz and can operate within an ambient air temperature range of -25°C to +70°C. It features one digital output (10-65Vdc; NPN; 200mA max.) and has a no-load current consumption of 15mA. The sensing distance is specified at 20mm. For protection, it includes functions against short-circuit (pulsed), overload, and reverse polarity. The control circuit is rated for a current of 200mA / 0.2 A, and the operating mode is Normally Open (NO).
