Schneider Electric ATV71HC16N4D is a Variable Speed/Frequency Drive (VSD/VFD) / Inverter from the Altivar 71 series designed for variable speed and frequency control. It features sensorless flux vector control, ENA System Vector control with or without speed feedback, and can deliver 220% of the nominal motor torque for 2 seconds and 170% of the nominal motor torque for 60 seconds. This model comes with a built-in EMC filter, a built-in heatsink, and a coated version without a DC choke. It operates on a supply voltage of 323-528Vac (380Vac / 400Vac / 480Vac / 500Vac nom.) and has dimensions of H1190mm x W440mm x D377mm. The ATV71HC16N4D offers chemical resistance with a conformal coating (reinforced version) and has an IP30 UL type 1 degree of protection. It supports a rated current of 314A (380Vac; 2.5kHz), 314A (460Vac; 2.5kHz), with a maximum current of 518A for 2 seconds and 471A for 60 seconds. For installation, it is designed for wall mounting and uses Modbus and CANopen communication protocols. It is suitable for a 3-phase (3P) network with an output frequency range of 0.1-500 Hz. The drive includes 1 analog output (0-10Vdc / 0-20mA), 5 digital inputs (24Vdc; sink/source) programmable as LI1-LI5, 1 digital input programmable as discrete or PTC input, and 1 PWR safety input, along with 1 digital output (C/O SPDT relay contact) and 2 digital outputs (NO relay contacts). It also features 1 analog input (-10...+10Vdc) and 1 analog input (0-10Vdc / 0-20mA). The current consumption is rated at 289A (380Vac) and 233A (480Vac), with a rated active power of 160kW and a rated power of 250HP.
