Pilz PILZ-773813 is a Safety I/O unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm top hat and 27mm recess width DIN rails. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C and features a net height of 94 mm. This unit is specifically designed for use with incremental encoders (HTL) and offers various connection types including screw terminal connections, spring-loaded terminal connections, and an 8-pin RJ45 female connector for incremental encoders with a 7mm stripping length for screw connections and a 9mm stripping length for spring-loaded connections. As part of the Safe I/O module sub-range, it has an IP20 degree of protection and requires a supply voltage of 20.4-28.8Vdc (24Vdc nominal) or 4.9-5.1Vdc (5Vdc nominal; module supply via base unit). The frequency ranges from 0-3kHz for input frequency range (proximity switch) to 0-500kHz for input frequency range (incremental encoder), with monitoring frequencies adjustable with or without hysteresis. The unit's housing is made from PPO for the bottom and ABS for the front, with a net width of 45 mm and a net depth of 121 mm. It supports a cross-section of 0.25...1.5mm2 / 24AWG...16AWG for 1-core flexible with screw terminals and similar specifications for spring-loaded terminals. Power consumption is 1 W from supply via base module, and it can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. Protection functions include galvanic isolation and overload proof (-30...+30V). The rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 30 V. It features 4 x digital inputs for proximity switches and 2 x digital inputs for incremental encoders, with time delay configurations and an angle phase position for differential signals ranging from 60°-120°.
