Pilz PILZ-328101 is a Safety I/O unit designed for backplane or rackmount installation. It features a digital output electronic safety module that supports a permitted load for inductive, capacitive, and resistive types with potential isolation between the semiconductor output and module supply, as well as between the periphery supply and module supply, both offering functional insulation and a rated surge voltage of 2500V. The unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +55°C and has a net height of 110.8 mm, a width of 12.5 mm, and a depth of 72.5 mm. It is designed with a device code of 4047h and 4 ST output bits. The rated current ranges from 0 to 2.5A for permitted output current, with a residual current of 0.02mA at a "0" signal and a maximum transient pulsed output current of 12A. Connection is facilitated through plug-in/detachable cage-clamp terminal connections. This Safe I/O module, with a degree of protection IP20, requires a supply voltage of 16.8-30Vdc (24Vdc nominal) and is housed in PPE material. Power consumption is 0.5 W for module supply, with periphery supply module power consumption at no load being 1 W and semiconductor output at 0.35 W. The unit can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +70°C. It features 4 x digital outputs (1-pole positive-switching semiconductor outputs; 24Vdc; 2A), includes short-circuit proof potential isolation protection functions, and has a current consumption of 33mA with no load. Power dissipation/losses are a maximum of 2.9 W. Processing time includes a maximum duration ON/OFF time during self-test of 0.1-12.7 ms and an output processing time from "1" to "0" and "0" to "1" signal of maximum 8 ms, with an internal voltage drop of 0.175 V.
