SF4D-A4 Panasonic Safety Light Curtains

Panasonic SF4D-A4 is a compact and robust arm/foot-protection intrinsically safe / safety light curtain sensor designed for a variety of safety applications. It features an interference prevention function, external device monitoring with an 8-core or 12-core cable, an interlock function with manual or auto reset, an override function exclusive to the 12-core cable, and a fixed blanking function. The housing is made of aluminum, while the sensing surface is constructed from polycarbonate resin and stainless steel SUS304, with nylon used for the upper and lower cap. This sensor is pre-equipped with a connector for easy installation and operates within an ambient air temperature range of -10 to +55°C. It offers a degree of protection rated at IP67. The protective height of the sensor is 150 mm, and it includes 2 x digital outputs (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 60-200mA) for safety outputs OSSD1+OSSD2, and 1 x digital output (Selectable NPN/PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA). The sensing distance ranges from 20cm to 9m in long mode, equivalent to 0.656 to 29.528 feet, and from 80cm to 15m, or 2.625 to 49.213 feet, in long mode. The current consumption for the emitter is 100mA / 0.1 A. It utilizes infrared (IR) light with a wavelength of 850 nm and can detect objects as small as 45mm or 1.772 inches.
