Panasonic CX-493-P-C5 is a compact photoelectric sensor designed for long sensing range applications, featuring a PBT housing and an acrylic lens for durability. It operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +55°C and offers a degree of protection rated at IP67, making it suitable for various environmental conditions. This sensor emits red light with a wavelength of 650 nm and can detect objects as small as 50mm from a distance of up to 5m. It includes a visual position indicator with an orange LED for operation and a green LED for stability, ensuring easy monitoring. The CX-493-P-C5 provides a quick response time of 1ms / 0.001 s and includes 1 x digital output (PNP open-collector / 24Vdc / 100mA) for efficient signal processing. It supports both Light-ON and Dark-ON operating modes for versatile application use. The sensor is pre-wired with a 5m 3-core 0.2mm2 cabtyre cable terminated with bare end flying leads, facilitating straightforward installation.
