AB7521-F HMS Networks Industrial Automation Components

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7521-F is a gateway belonging to the X-gateway series designed as a protocol translator between different industrial networks. It features a PROFIBUS master and a POWERLINK device, enabling seamless communication and integration. The gateway is equipped with 10 LED indicators for real-time status monitoring of fieldbus, sub-network, and device operations. It supports a supply voltage range of 19.2-28.8Vdc, with a nominal 24Vdc, and has dimensions of H127mm x W44mm x D114mm. The housing is made from aluminium and plastic, ensuring durability while maintaining a lightweight design. For connectivity, it includes 2 RJ45 connectors for 100Mbit/s Ethernet (half duplex), 1 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, 1 9-pin D-sub male connector for PROFIBUS and RS-232 configuration, 1 2-poles 5.08mm plug-in screw connector for power, and 1 USB connector for I/O configuration via Anybus Configuration Manager software. The AB7521-F offers galvanic isolation on both BUS and Ethernet sides to protect against electrical interference and is designed for vertical or flat installation with DIN rail mounting. It has an IP20 and NEMA 1 degree of protection, operates within an ambient air temperature range of -25 to +65 °C, and can be stored in temperatures ranging from -40 to +85 °C. The current consumption is 400mA (max) and 200mA (typical) at 24Vdc. Communication speeds are up to 100Mbit/s for POWERLINK and up to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS, with a humidity tolerance of 5-95% RH (non-condensing).
