AB7312-B Description
Anybus by HMS Networks AB7312-B is a gateway designed for CAN communicators within the sub-range name of CAN communicators. This part functions as a CAN-based communicator/gateway, supporting configurable CAN 1.0 / 2.0A and 2.0B protocols with a baud rate ranging from 20kbit/s to 1Mbit/s. It is designed with reverse voltage protection, short circuit protection, and galvanic isolation on the sub-network, suitable for installation altitudes up to 2000m. The AB7312-B is equipped to handle immunity and emission for industrial environments, featuring electrostatic discharge protection of +/-4kV, electromagnetic RF fields immunity from 10V/m at 80MHz-1GHz to 1V/m at 2.0GHz-2.7GHz, fast transients of +/-1kV, surge protection of +/-1kV, and RF conducted interference of 10V/rms. Its emission levels are 40dB at 30MHz-230MHz and 47dB at 30MHz-1GHz. The design includes CAN + PROFIBUS interfaces, 2 x configuration switches (A / B), 6 x LED indicators for fieldbus/sub-network/device status, and a supply voltage requirement of 21.6-26.4Vdc (24Vdc nom.). The dimensions are H120mm x W27mm x D75mm, with a plastic housing made of ABS / PC. Connection types include 1 x 9-pin D-sub female connector for PROFIBUS, 1 x 9-pin D-sub male connector for CAN, 1 x 2-poles plug-in connector for power, and 1 x USB connector for the sub-network. It offers a degree of protection of IP20 NEMA 1 and supports DIN rail mounting (35/7.5 or 35/15). The communication protocols supported are CAN and PROFIBUS, with an ambient air temperature for operation ranging from -25 to +55°C and for storage from -40 to +85°C. The current consumption is 300mA (max.) and 100mA (typical) at 24Vdc, with a humidity tolerance of 5-95% RH (non-condensing). The speed supported is 20kbit/s to 1Mbit/s for CAN and 9.6kbit/s to 12Mbit/s for PROFIBUS.
