AB7012-B HMS Networks Industrial Automation Components

Anybus by HMS Networks AB7012-B is a gateway designed for serial communication, belonging to the Serial Communicators sub-range. This gateway supports configurable RS-232/422/485 protocols for produce/consume and query/response ASCII operations, accommodating up to 31 stations with RS485/422 and offering a baud rate range of 1.2-57.6kbit/s. It adheres to physical standards of RS232/422/485 and supports various Modbus commands including Read Coils, Read Discrete Inputs, and Write Multiple Registers, among others. Additionally, it provides DF1 services such as Integrity Check and Read Diagnostics. The AB7012-B features reverse voltage protection, short circuit protection, and galvanic isolation on the sub-network, with an MTTF of over 550,000 hours. It is designed for installation at altitudes up to 2000m and offers immunity and emission protection suitable for industrial environments. The design includes 6 LED indicators, a baud rate jumper, and is powered by a supply voltage of 21.6-26.4Vdc. Its dimensions are H120mm x W27mm x D75mm, housed in ABS/PC plastic, and it connects via a 9-pin D-sub and a 2-poles plug-in connector, among others. The AB7012-B is IP20 and NEMA 1 rated, mounts on a DIN rail, and operates within an ambient air temperature of 0 to +55°C, with a current consumption of 300mA (max) and 100mA (typical). It is designed for use with INTERBUS, RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 communication protocols, and can operate in environments with up to 95% non-condensing relative humidity.
