PILZ-772140 Pilz Electrical Safety Devices

Pilz PILZ-772140 is a configurable safety small digital I/O expansion unit designed for DIN rail mounting, compatible with both 35mmx7.5mm and 27mm DIN rails. It features potential isolation between its 2-pole semiconductor outputs and system voltage, ensuring basic insulation with a rated surge voltage of 2500V. This unit operates within an ambient air temperature range of 0 to +60°C without forced convection and up to +55°C with forced convection off. It has a net height of 101.4 mm, a design code of 00E5h, and supports a rated current of up to 4A for external power supply continuous current, with input current ranging from 2.5-5.3mA and output current permissible up to 2.4A. The residual current at "0" signal is 0.5mA, and it can handle a max pulsed current of 12A for durations less than 100ms. Power consumption from the supply via the base module is 0.8 W, with a net depth of 120 mm. It can be stored in temperatures ranging from -25 to +70°C. The unit features 2 x digital outputs for safety output and 1 x digital output for test pulses, alongside 8 x digital inputs. Current consumption from the supply via the base module is 35mA, with various time delays for pulse suppression and switch-off. Power dissipation/losses are maximized at 8 W, with processing times of 5 ms for semiconductor output and 1.4 ms for test pulse output during self-tests.
